Caring For Tennant i-mop Batteries

Below are a few tips to reinforce proper behavior when charging, using and storing i-mop batteries. For full details and to optimize the life of i-mop batteries, please follow the instructions per the Manual.

Before Using

Lithium ion batteries are shipped with only a partial charge due to the safety regulations associated with this battery type. Prior to using charge the battery pack for at least 5 hours before you use the i-mop for the first time. Plug the supplied power cord into the charger before plugging it into the outlet.

Storage

Battery packs should be removed from the machine when not in use for more than 2 days, or 48 hours, to prevent damage to the battery's life cycle. Batteries left on the machine when not in use for more than 2 days will continue to self-discharge.

After Each Use

It is recommended that you remove the batteries from the machine if less than half charged and recharge them. If the batteries are showing half, or more, charged then you can leave them in the machine until the next use with the understanding that it will be no longer than 2 days to the next use of the i-mop.
